Incident on Luas lines knocks out trams

Updated 18.01

THERE are delays on the Luas Red line at the moment due to an incident in the city centre near Abbey Street. Twitter users are reporting that a person has been injured near the tracks and that emergency services are attending the scene. A Garda spokesperson has told TheJournal.ie that the Luas is only running between Smithfield and Tallaght, but that they are still trying to establish what has happened at Abbey Street.

There are also curtailments on the Green Luas line, with buses running from the Sandyford stop away from town. The live travel section on the Luas website is down -”due to the large number of visitors”.
