They fled the scene in a silver Audi car.

TWO MEN ESCAPED with cash in an armed robbery at a hotel in Dublin in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The raid took place at the Finnstown Castle House Hotel in Lucan, managed by Jim Mansfield Junior, at around 4.10am.

Gardaí say two men entered the hotel, one armed with what appeared to be a firearm, and threatened a member of staff.

The Irish Independent reports that a night porter was tied up. He wasn’t injured in the incident.

The raiders escaped with cash, and fled the scene in a silver Audi car.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to contact Lucan Garda Station on 01 666 7300, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666111, or any garda station.
