Mock-up/Savills

Poll: Are you in favour of more high-rise buildings across Irish cities?

Should we be building up?

DUBLIN MAY be getting two new high-rise buildings.

Yesterday, the Irish Times reported that planning permission has been sought for a 17-storey tower near Tara Street train station. If it gets the green light, the building would stand at 88 metres (29m taller than Liberty Hall, the capital’s current tallest property).

Today, more details were announced about The Exo at Point Square, a project – at 73 metres – that will become Ireland’s tallest office building.

Much has been said in recent times about the need for Ireland’s cities to embrace taller buildings to help ease the housing crisis.

However, residents continue to show unease about any developments above three to four storeys.

What do you think? Are you in favour of more high-rise buildings across Irish cities?
