6. Speaking of social media, this newly-elected TUV councillor has got quite the welcome to politics after posts she wrote on Facebook three years ago emerged. Jolene Bunting failed to give a full apology for the sentiments, instead explaining that she should have used the word ‘republicans’ and not ‘Catholics’.

8. Police in Newtownards have issued an appeal after three ducks were stolen from a nursing home in Comber. Jemima, Pete and Agnus were taken some time between Friday evening and Saturday morning.
