Just one more: 6 little extras that will transform the look of your Christmas table

The best part? You can get away with using these items year-round.

WHEN IT COMES to decorating, Christmas brings a whole host of hidden costs, especially for the main event – Christmas dinner.

That’s why we’re all for finding tableware that can be reused on any given occasion – not just for Christmas.

So, this week, we’ve scouted out six luxurious additions for your Christmas dinner table that won’t look out of place whenever you choose to use them.

Bucket list: @hamptonluxuryhome ups the hosting bar and keeps things cool with this luxe-looking Champagne bucket. The finish ties in nicely with the other silver additions, including the more permanent fixtures like the lighting over the kitchen island.

Find buckets of all shapes and sizes at John Lewis.

Up sticks: @hvitelinjer embraces the ambience of candles by clustering them together with the help of a stand-out candleholder. We love the dark and moody vibe of the Christmas set-up and the bonus is that a few quick changes would make the space suitable for any time of year.

Check out these Spids candlesticks at Arnotts.

Classy glass: Whether they’re used for fine whiskey or water, crystal glasses will always up the ante if you’re planning a fancy dinner party. @julias_verden ensures the glassware really stands out against this dark tablescape, and plays with differing heights in the process.

Find similar crystal tumblers on Belleek.com.

Green scene: @decorate_with_mary veers away from the usual green and red theme by introducing touches of gold. Gold cutlery adds a much more contemporary look that can be matched with any other colour throughout the year for a less Christmassy feel.

You can find similar gold cutlery at H&M.

Go for faux: @beauty_decor_lifestyle goes the fake route when it comes to flowers, which means this centrepiece is easy to achieve and needs little maintenance. The crystal and gold touches really pop against the navy tablecloth and walls, too.

Buy some fauxs like these from Light in the Box and spray paint them any colour you wish.

Miniature meals: @aresdecozinha creates an element of surprise with these cute individual dishes for each guest. We love how the plates are layered to add extra dimension. These pots are the perfect size for a starter that’ll (hopefully) taste as good as it looks.

Check out these exact pots from Le Creuset.
