M1 lane blocked after crash between two heavy-goods lorries

Motorists are advised that diversions are in place.

THE SOUTHBOUND LANE of the the M1 has been blocked after a collision between two heavy-goods vehicles.

The crash happened near to Balbriggan and motorists are being advised that there are lengthy delays in the area.

Those using the motorway are advised that a diversion is in place from J7 near to Julianstown, and reconnects at J6 in Balbriggan.

Gardaí have said that neither driver is believed to have been injured, but that the size of the vehicles causing the road to be blocked.

A number of units from Dublin Fire Brigade are also in attendance at the scene.
