Woman taken to hospital after car bursts in to flames on M50

The woman escaped with minor injuries.

A WOMAN HAS been taken to hospital after a crash on the M50 in Dublin earlier today.

The incident occurred on at Junction 12 southbound just before 2pm. A witness at the scene said the woman’s car hit a barrier and burst into flames.

Dublin Fire Brigade was called to the scene and the woman was taken by ambulance to Tallaght Hospital with minor injuries.

A garda spokesperson said there were some traffic delays due to the crash but the road has now reopened:
