An overturned truck of fish has been causing problems on the main Cork-Dublin road

DIVERSIONS WERE PUT place on the M8 Cork to Dublin road this morning, after a truck loaded with fish overturned.

Restrictions are now being lifted.

The crash happened last night at Junction 12 for Mitchelstown, northbound.

Debris has been cleared, and fish oil left on the road surface is now being cleaned off.

In it’s latest update, AA Roadwatch confirmed that the road had re-opened southbound. One lane northbound has also re-opened.
