24-year-old man dies after car hits wall in Limerick

The man was the only occupant of the car when it struck a wall four miles outside Abbeyfeale yesterday afternoon.

A 24-YEAR-OLD MAN has died following a car accident in Co Limerick.

The man was the only occupant of his car when it left the road and struck a wall on the R515 at Killaculleen, Templeglantine, about four miles outside Abbeyfeale.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his remains were taken to Limerick Regional Hospital.

The road was closed for some time to facilitate forensic examinations, but has since re-opened to traffic.

Gardaí have asked any witnesses to contact them in Abbeyfeale at (068) 30010, via the Garda Confidential line at 1800 666 111, or through any Garda station.
