Man (30s) dies in single-vehicle collision in Co Offaly

No other injuries were reported.

A MAN HAS died following a single-vehicle collision in Co Offaly.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses of the fatal crash that occurred at Moorock, Ballycumber, in the early hours of this morning.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a man aged in his 30s, was killed. No other injuries were reported.

The body of the man has been removed from the scene to the Mortuary in Midlands Regional Hospital, Tullamore and arrangements will now be made for a post-mortem.

The road is currently closed as gardaí will do a technical examination later this morning. Local diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
