Man, 69, dies in Letterkenny house fire

The fire broke out at about 9.30pm last night at a cottage in Glenkeogh.

AN ELDERLY MAN has been found dead after a fire broke out at his home in Letterkenny, Co Donegal last night.

At around 9.30pm, Gardaí in Letterkenny received a call that a cottage was on fire in Glenkeogh.

Letterkenny Fire Brigade arrived at the scene and the coroner was notified about the death of the 69-year-old man.

The scene is currently being reserved for a technical examination.

The body has been removed to Letterkenny General Hospital for a post-mortem.
