35-year-old arrested after man chased into house and beaten

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the attack.

GARDAÍ ARE APPEALING for witnesses to a serious assault that left a man in his 20s in hospital.

The incident occurred at around 10pm on Monday night on the Old Cabra Road in Dublin. The injured man was chased into his home, where he was beaten by a number of men.

The man in his 20s received facial injuries and was hospitalised. It is also believed that money and a mobile phone were stolen in the attack.

A 35-year-old was arrested near the scene. He was taken to the Bridewell Garda Station, where he was released without charge. A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
