Man arrested after cannabis seizure in Co Waterford

Drugs worth an estimated €80,000 were recovered from an house in Tallow; a man is being held at Dungarvan.

GARDAÍ IN CO WATERFORD have arrested one man in connection with a seizure of drugs worth €80,000 in the county yesterday evening.

The drugs were seized from a house in Tallow, Co Waterford, as part of an ongoing investigation by Gardaí in Dungarvan and Fermoy.

Cannabis plants, along with cannabis herb and resin with an estimated street value of €80,000, was seized.

The arrested man, who is in his 40s, remains detained at Dungarvan Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
