Man arrested after Dublin cocaine seizure

The man in his 40s was arrested at a house in Clondalkin.

GARDAÍ HAVE ARRESTED a man and seized cocaine with an estimated street value of €70,000.

The arrest came following a search operation in west Dublin.

The search was carried out yesterday evening at a house in Clondalkin by Gardaí from Ronanstown and is part of an ongoing investigation into the sale and supply of drugs in west Dublin. A man aged in his 40s was arrested at the scene.

Weighing scales, bagging equipment and a number of other items were also seized during the operation.

The man is currently detained at Ronanstown Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

He can be detained for up to seven days.
