The drugs were found concealed in a tailored suitcase being carried by a man on a flight from Dubai.

A MAN HAS been arrested after heroin with a street value of €450,000 was seized by officers from the Revenue’s Customs Service at Dublin Airport today.

The three kilogrammes of heroin were discovered as part of a routine search of 56-year-old Pakistani man and his baggage after he had arrived on a flight from Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

The heroin was concealed in the side panelling of a suitcase that the Revenue says was specifically tailored.

The man was arrested and then handed over the Gardaí at Ballymun Garda Station.
