Man arrested over discovery of body in Cork apartment

The remains of 58-year-old Liam Manley were found at an apartment in central Cork eight days ago.

A MAN has been arrested in Cork city over the discovery of a body at an apartment in the city last week.

The man, aged in his late 20s, was arrested in the city this afternoon.

He is being detained at Bridewell Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

The remains of 58-year-old Liam Manley were found at an apartment on Northgate Street last Monday evening.

A pathologist’s investigation found that he had been assaulted.
