Man (40s) arrested after body found at a house in Co Kildare

The body of a man was found at around 1.30pm on Sunday.

A MAN HAS been arrested following the discovery of a body in Co Kildare.

The body of a man was found at a house in Eustace Demesne in Naas, Co Kildare at around 1.30pm on Sunday. 

The body has since been removed to the Mortuary at Naas General Hospital.

The State Pathologist has been notified and a post-mortem examination is to take place this afternoon.

Gardaí said the results of the post-mortem will determine the course of their investigation. The scene remains preserved for technical examination.

The arrested man, aged in his 40s, is currently being detained at a Garda Station in Co Kildare under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
