Man arrested following seizure of cannabis plants worth €160,000

Gardaí say the plants were being cultivated in a house in Ballycumber, Co Offaly.

GARDAÍ HAVE SEIZED cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €160,000 during the search of a house in Ballycumber, Co Offaly.

The 400 plants were being cultivated at the house in Twickenham Estate.

Gardaí arrested a man in his 20s at the scene under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984. He can be held for up to 24 hours.
