Man arrested in connection with death of man in Kilkenny

Anthony Barrett, 43, was found dead at a house in Fatima Place, Kilkenny on 7 March 2013.

A MAN IN his 40s was arrested this morning in connection with the death of Anthony Barrett at a house in Fatima Place, Kilkenny on 7 March 2013.

The man was arrested at around 11am in Kilkenny City.

Barrett is originally from Castlecomer but was living on Parliament Street in Kilkenny.

It is understood that the 43-year-old’s death is being treated as suspicious.

The man arrested is currently being detained at Thomastown Garda Station under Section 4 Criminal Justice Act.
