Man arrested in connection with the murder of a man in 2002

Brian Fitzgerald was shot at his home in Limerick almost 11 years ago.

GARDAÍ IN HENRY Street investigating the murder of Brian Fitzgerald in Limerick on 29 November 2002 have arrested a man in his mid 30s.

The man was arrested this morning in Limerick city and is being detained in Henry Street Garda Station.

Brian Fitzgerald was shot a number of times close to his house at Brookhaven Walk, Mill Road, Corbally Limerick almost 11 years ago at approximately 3.50 am.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three males have been convicted in relation to the  shooting.
