Man charged over shots fired at Meath house

The shooting incident occurred on Saturday afternoon.

A MAN HAS been charged in connection with a shooting incident in Meath over the weekend.

Shots were fired at a house in the Archdeaconry area on Saturday afternoon. No one was injured in the incident.

A man in his late 40s was arrested by gardaí and held at Kells Garda Station overnight. In a follow-up search by gardaí in the Carrick Street area a firearm was recovered.

The arrested man has now been charged and remains in custody, due to appear before Trim District Court tomorrow morning at 11am.
