52-year-old man arrested over Donegal murder

Seamus Doherty (67) was discovered in a house in Churchill in 2012.

A 52-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested in connection with the murder of pensioner Seamus Doherty over three years ago.

The body of the 67-year-old was discovered in a house in Churchill, Donegal on 17 June 2012.

Gardaí and emergency services were called to the house at Drumacnoo at around 1.50am. A post-mortem later established that Doherty died in suspicious circumstances.

The 52-year-old man was arrested last night in Raphoe, Co Donegal.

He appeared before Buncrana District Court this morning.
