Man arrested over attack on garda speed camera

Garda speed detection van was destroyed in Blarney, Co Cork, in 2009.

ONE MAN HAS BEEN arrested in connection with an arson attack on a garda van in August 2009.

The garda speed detection vehicle was attacked at Booleypark, Tower, Blarney, Co Cork, on the morning of 27 August, 2009.

Gardaí say they arrested a man in his 20s this morning in Cork, and he is due to appear before Cork District Court today.
