Man arrested over Sligo shooting released

Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information to contact them over Monday’s shooting, in which one man was injured.

THE MAN ARRESTED in connection with a shooting in Co Sligo on Monday evening has been released without charge.

A man in his 30s was hospitalised after being injured in the incident at Connolly Park, Tubbercurry.

The man being questioned by gardaí was released last night and a file is being prepared which will be forwarded to the DPP.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have any information regarding the shooting to contact them on 071 9189500, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
