Man arrested over Waterford stabbing

The attack saw three people taken to hospital in Waterford city last night.

THREE PEOPLE HAVE been injured and one arrested over a stabbing incident in Waterford last night.

Gardaí said they attended to a disturbance at an apartment in the Canada Square area at 11.40pm Monday.

A 38-year-old man was taken to Waterford Regional Hospital with an injury to his neck which was described as not life-threatening.

A 24-year-old man and 21-year-old woman were also taken to hospital with minor injuries. All three are now in stable conditions.

A man in his late-20s was arrested a short distance from the crime scene and is now being detained at Waterford Garda Station.

An appeal for witnesses has been made and anyone with any information can contact Waterford Garda Station.
