Man arrested over woman's death in Dundalk

The 34-year-old was found dead at her home in Co Louth early yesterday morning.

GARDAÍ INVESTIGATING the murder of a 34-year-old woman in Dundalk, Co Louth yesterday have arrested a man in connection with their inquiries.

The woman, named locally as mother-of-three Jacqueline McDonagh, was found dead at her home in College Manor, Hoey’s Lane in Dundalk at around 3am yesterday.

The man, aged in his mid-30s, was arrested in the Dublin area this evening and is being held at Dundalk Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

A post-mortem has been carried out on the woman’s remains and gardaí are appealing to anyone with any information about her death to contact them at Dundalk Garda Station on 042 933 5577.
