Man arrested over Republican activity as guns seized in Navan

Three pistols and assorted ammunition were seized in the raid at a business premises.

A MAN in his 30s has been arrested after Gardaí investigating dissident republican activity in the north-east recovered firearms and ammunition.

The man was arrested at the scene and is being detained at Kells Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939.

Gardaí said officers based at Harcourt Square recovered three pistols, ammunitions and other paraphernalia at the scene.

Investigations are continuing.
