Man arrested over drugs and sawn-off shotgun seized in Tallaght

The man in his early 20s is the second person to be arrested over the discovery.

A MAN IN his early 20s has been arrested over the seizure of drugs and a gun from a car in Dublin last week.

Gardaí found heroin and cannabis herb with an estimated street value of €200,000 during a search operation last Thursday in the Jobstown area of Tallaght.

A sawn-off shot gun and a number of cartridges were also found in the car.

The man was arrested in Tallaght last night and is currently being questioned.

He is the second person to be arrested over the haul. A boy in his mid-teens was arrested in connection with the seizure but was later released without charge.
