Man arrested after woman’s body discovered at a home in Co Derry

Her body was discovered by officers yesterday afternoon.

A MAN HAS been arrested after a woman’s body was discovered at a home in Co Derry yesterday.

PSNI officers responded to a report and found the woman unresponsive in her home in the Ashgrove Park area of Magherafelt yesterday afternoon.

The woman, aged in her 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death and a man in his 40s has been arrested in connection with the investigation.

He remains in custody and is said to be assisting with enquiries.

A PSNI spokesperson said there are no further details at present.
