Males with metal bars assault man, leaving him badly injured

The man received treatment for head injuries, a suspected broken arm and a suspected broken leg.

A MAN SUSTAINED serious injuries after two males wielding metal bars assaulted him last night.

PSNI detectives are appealing for information following the serious assault, which occurred in the Millbrook area of Larne.

Shortly before 10.30pm last night, two unknown males carrying metal bars entered a property in the area and assaulted a 20-year-old man.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment for head injuries, a suspected broken arm and a suspected broken leg. A female who was also in the property was not injured during the incident.

Police would appeal to anyone who witnessed the assault or who was in the Millbrook area around the time of the incident to contact them at Larne CID on 0845 600 8000.

Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonomously on 0800 555 111.
