Three men charged after 51-year-old gunned down in Limerick on Saturday

Two other men have been released without charge.

THREE MEN HAVE been charged in connection with a fatal shooting in Limerick on Saturday.

A 51-year-old man was gunned down outside a motorcycle club at Mountfune, Murroe at around 3pm.

He was seriously injured in the incident and died of his injuries in hospital. He was pronounced dead just after 5pm on Saturday.

The three men, aged 49, 48 and 25, are expected to appear before a special sitting of Limerick District Court.

Two other men, aged in their late 40’s, arrested in connection with this investigation have been released from Garda custody without charge.

A file is being prepared for the DPP.
