Man charged in relation to ‘serious public disorder’ during Dublin riots

The man was arrested this morning and was the 50th person to be arrested in relation to the riots.

A MAN IN his 20s has been charged in connection to ongoing investigations into the Dublin riots last November.

This morning, gardaí in Store Street arrested a man in relation to “serious public disorder events” on 23 November last in Dublin city centre.

He was the 50th person to be arrested as part of the ongoing investigation.

He has since been charged and is expected to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice in Dublin tomorrow morning.

Meanwhile, a garda spokesperson said gardaí continue to appeal to anyone with information about the events on that day, or anyone involved in organising or participating in these events, to contact the Garda investigation team.

They can be contacted at Store Street Garda Station at 01 666 8000, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.

On 23 November, a number of businesses were looted by rioters, and vehicles, including a Luas tram, were set on fire.
