Man charged over Donegal stabbings

The man will appear in court this morning after the incident in which four people, including a garda sergeant, were injured.

A MAN HAS been charged following a stabbing incident in which four people, including a Garda sergeant, were injured in Donegal in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The 46-year-0ld man will appear before a special sitting of Mullingar District Court at 10.30am this morning.

The incident occurred just after midnight outside a bar on Lower Main Street, in Letterkenny. All four people were taken to Letterkenny General Hospital but three of the men were later released.

The Garda sergeant who was injured in the incident is still being treated for his hand injuries.
