Man dies and another hospitalised after Donegal road collision

Four other people received minor injuries in the collision on the R238 earlier today.

A MAN HAS died following a road crash in Donegal this afternoon.

The man in his 50s died after his car collided with a four-wheel drive (4×4) on the R238 Redcastle to Moville Road in Donegal just after 4.30pm this afternoon.

The driver of the 4×4 was injured and taken to hospital. The four other occupants of the car received minor injuries, gardaí say.

The road has been closed pending an examination by a garda forensics team and local diversions are in place.

Gardaí have appealed for any witnesses to the collision to contact them at Buncrana Garda Station on 074 9320540, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
