Man dies from injuries after single-vehicle crash on Thursday night

The local coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination is due to be carried out.

A MAN HAS died from the injuries he sustained in a road traffic collision in Offaly on Thursday night.

Gardaí at Tullamore are investigating the single-vehicle crash that occurred at about 9pm on the L2007 (Rahan Road) at Ballykeenaghan.

The driver in the car (a man in his 40s) was seriously injured in the crash. He was pronounced dead last night at Midlands Regional Hospital, Tullamore.

The local coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination is due to be carried out. Gardaí continue to appeal for witnesses to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 8:15am and 9:15am are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
