Man dies in Cork crash

The 47-year-old was fatally injured when his vehicle crashed into a roadside ditch in Charleville last night.

A MAN HAS died in a car crash in Cork on Monday night.

The 47-year-old was fatally injured when the car he was driving crashed into a roadside ditch at Dromina in Charleville at around 9.30pm. A male passenger in the car was uninjured.

A post mortem is due to be carried out on the victim at Cork University Hospital this morning.

The road is currently closed as forensic investigators carry out an examination of the scene.

Gardaí have appealed for any witnesses to contact Mallow Garda Station at 022 31450, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
