Man (60s) dies after car he was driving struck a pole in Co Galway

He was the sole occupant of the car at the time of the crash.

A MAN HAS died following a single vehicle collision in Co Galway. 

The crash happened when the car he was driving struck a pole in the Croagh Hill area of Williamstown last night at around 8pm. 

The driver of the vehicle, a man in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

He was the sole occupant of the car at the time of the crash. 

Gardaí attended the scene.
