Man dies in Co Kildare collision

A pedestrian in his thirties was killed last night in Co Kildare – it is the second fatal traffic incident in the county in as many days.

A MAN IN his thirties has been killed after being struck by a vehicle in Co Kildare.

The incident occurred at about 10pm last night on the R403 at Baybush in Straffan.

The road is now closed and there are diversions in place.

It was the second fatal traffic incident to take place in Kildare on Tuesday: a 59-year-old woman died after a collision at about 4.30pm when the car she was driving collided with an SUV on the Kilcullen to Athy road. Three others were seriously injured in the incident.
