Man (60s) dies following fatal road incident in Waterford

The incident involved a minibus and one car.

A MAN HAS died and another man was injured following a fatal road incident in Tramore, Co Waterford this evening involving a minibus and a car.

Gardaí and other emergency services attended the scene of the incident at approximately 6.20pm this evening at Monvoy, the deceased male, aged in his 60s, was driving the minibus at the time. The man died at the scene.

The driver of the car was assessed at the scene by did not require immediate hospital treatment.

The local coroner has been notified, and arrangements will be made for a post-mortem examination.

The road is currently closed with local diversions in place. An examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators is ongoing.

Gardaí are appealing for any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
