Man due in court over attempted robbery of Co Wicklow post office

The 25-year-old was arrested after a failed raid on the Arklow branch on Tuesday.

A MAN WHO was arrested earlier this week in connection with the attempted robbery of a post office in Arklow, Co Wicklow has been charged.

The 25-year-old is due to appear before Dun Laoghaire District Court later this morning.

An armed man attempted to rob the Arklow post office on Tuesday afternoon, but left without taking anything. He fled the scene in a blue-coloured car.

Later that evening, a man was arrested in connection with the attempted robbery in Ashford, Co Wicklow.
