Man due in court over cannabis seizure

Cannabis resin with an estimated street value of €570,000 was seized during a search of a house in the Cherry Orchard area of west Dublin yesterday.

A MAN IN his 30s is scheduled to appear before in court in Dublin today charged in connection with the seizure of cannabis resin in Dublin on Friday.

Yesterday, as part of an ongoing investigation into the sale and supply of controlled drugs, the Ballyfermot Drugs Unit searched a house in the Cherry Orchard area of west Dublin.

During the search, cannabis resin with an estimated street value of €570,000 (pending analysis) was seized. A male aged in his 30s was arrested at the scene and detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at Ballyfermot Garda Station.

The man is scheduled to appear at Court 44, The Bridewell, Dublin 7, this morning.
