Man due in court over fatal Roscommon stabbing

A 25-year-old man is due to appear in Galway District Court this morning, charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of a woman in Roscommon last weekend.

A MAN IS due in court in Galway today after being charged in connection with a stabbing incident in Roscommon town, in which a 47-year-old woman was killed.

The victim, named locally as Ann Henry, was found on the roadway outside a house at The Spinney after being stabbed at around 2.30pm on Saturday, 17 September.

A 25-year-old suspect was arrested on the scene and brought to Roscommon Garda Station.

The suspect is expected to appear before a sitting of Galway District Court this morning charged in relation to the incident.
