Man in court over fatal Monaghan crash at Christmas

Three people, including a pregnant woman, were killed in the crash near Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan, on 27 December 2010.

ONE MAN HAS BEEN CHARGED in relation to a fatal road crash in Co Monaghan on 27 December, 2010, which involved three cars.

Three people, including a pregnant woman, were killed in a three-vehicle crash on the N2 near Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan.

Two 27-year-old men who were passengers in one car were killed in the collision.

A woman, 39, died in the early hours of the following morning as a result of her injuries.

Gardaí arrested a 28-year-old man in connection with the incident earlier today and he was due to appear before a special sitting of Carrickmacross District Court this evening.
