Man in his 40s in serious condition after alleged assault in Roscommon

The incident happened in Erris Bay, Boyle at around 4.30 this morning.

A MAN IN his 40s has been arrested in Roscommon after another man was hospitalised following a serious assault.

A man in his early 40s has been transferred to Beaumont Hospital where his injuries are believed to be serious.

The incident happened in Erris Bay, Boyle at around 4.30 this morning.

The man who was arrested is being held at Roscommon Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
