Man shot in Drogheda estate

The man is in a non-life-threatening state in hospital.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING a shooting incident that left a 35-year-old man in hospital.

The shooting occurred in the Moneymore Estate, Drogheda, County Louth, last night at around 6pm.

The man was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda with an apparent gunshot wound. There, his injuries were described as being non-life threatening.

The scene is currently preserved for technical examination.

Investigating Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact them at Drogheda Garda Station on 041 9874200, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666111 or any Garda Station.
