Man wounded in leg in overnight Ballyfermot shooting incident

The 33-year-old man was shot during an incident at Le Fanu Road. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

A 33-YEAR-OLD MAN is recovering in hospital this morning after being shot in the leg during an overnight incident in Ballyfermot in west Dublin.

The man was injured during an incident on the Le Fanu Road at about 12:10am.

The man was removed to St James’s Hospital by ambulance. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

The scene has been examined and the road has reopened to traffic.

Gardaí said inquiries were ongoing, and that no arrests had yet been made.
