Elderly man killed after being hit by truck near Dublin Airport

It happened just after 1 o’clock this afternoon.

A MAN HAS died following a crash on the Swords Road close to Dublin Airport.

The pedestrian is his 80s was killed when he was hit by an articulated truck shortly after 1pm.

Emergency services are now at the scene.

The road is closed to facilitate a forensic collision investigation of the area and is expected to remain closed for a number of hours.

Traffic is being diverted onto the M1.
