Man in his 60s killed in Wicklow house fire

A MAN IN his 60s has died in a house fire in Wicklow.

Emergency services were called to the house on Windermere Avenue in Arklow after the alarm was raised at around 8.30 this morning.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A local coroner has been notified and the scene is being preserved for a technical examination.

A post mortem is expected to be carried out to determine the cause of his death.

Gardaí are investigating but a spokesperson said it doesn’t look suspicious.
