Man left in a serious condition after Dublin city centre assault

Two men have been arrested following the incident on Dame Street early this morning.

TWO MEN HAVE been arrested following an assault on a man in Dublin city centre in the early hours of this morning.

The man is in a serious condition in St James’s Hospital following the assault which took place on Dame Street at around 3.30am this morning.

Gardaí say that two men have been arrested and are currently being detained at Pearse Street Garda station.

There are no further details at this point but Gardaí have appealed for any witnesses to the incident to contact them at Pearse Street on 01 666 9000, the Garda confidential line 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
