Man arrested over suspicious death in Courtown Habour released without charge

The investigation is ongoing and a post mortem on the body of the man found dead at a house on Christmas Eve is scheduled to take place today.

A MAN WHO was arrested by gardaí in relation to the discovery of another man’s body at a house in Courtown Harbour on Christmas Eve has been released.

The man in his 40s was released without charge last night, gardaí said this morning.

The other man, also in his 40s, was found dead in a house at Ballinatray Lower in Courtown Harbour in Wexford just before midnight on Christmas Eve.

The other man was also found injured at the house and was taken to Wexford General Hospital for treatment after which he was arrested by gardaí and detained for questioning before his release.

The investigation is ongoing and a post mortem is scheduled to take place today.
